Assistant Development Manager Location: Melbourne, VIC

About the Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded property developer with a strong track record delivering residential, mixed-use and masterplanned community projects across Australia.

With an active development pipeline and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join their Melbourne team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced development professionals and gain exposure to the full development lifecycle, from acquisition and feasibility through planning, design, construction and project delivery.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with project management across all stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Undertaking project feasibilities, market research and due diligence.
  • Supporting acquisition assessments and development opportunities.
  • Coordinating consultants including planners, architects, engineers and surveyors.
  • Assisting with planning permit and authority approval processes.
  • Preparing project reports, budgets and development updates.
  • Monitoring project programmes, risks and key milestones.
  • Supporting procurement, tendering and construction delivery activities.
  • Attending project, consultant and stakeholder meetings.
  • Assisting with project settlements and completion activities.
  • Maintaining project documentation, approvals and reporting systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 1–3 years' experience within property development, project management, construction, planning, architecture, engineering or a related property discipline.
  • A tertiary qualification in Property, Property Economics, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for property development and creating thriving communities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.
