Assistant Operations Manager – Retail Property

Sydney | Permanent Full-Time

An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Operations Manager to join a well-established private property group, supporting the facilities and operational management of its retail and commercial property portfolio across NSW.

Working closely with the Group Operations Manager, you will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio while supporting day-to-day operations, facilities, compliance, risk and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Assist with the day-to-day operations and facilities management of retail and commercial assets.
• 
  Coordinate maintenance, preventative works, contractors and capital projects.
• 
  Support WHS, fire safety, risk management and statutory compliance.
• 
  Assist with service contracts, contractor performance and tenancy fit-outs.
• 
  Support sustainability initiatives and asset performance reporting.
• 
  Maintain property and contractor registers and operational documentation.
• 
  Work closely with internal teams, tenants and external stakeholders.

About You

• 
  Background in facilities, operations, engineering, trades or building services.
• 
  Retail property or shopping centre exposure is highly regarded.
• 
  Experience coordinating contractors, maintenance and building services.
• 
  Strong communication, organisation and administrative skills.
• 
  Commercial awareness and an understanding of WHS and compliance.
• 
  Proactive, hands-on and eager to develop your career within retail property.

Additional Requirements

• 
  Full Australian working rights.
• 
  Current driver's licence and own transport.
• 
  Ability to travel between Sydney metropolitan assets.
