Contract Administrator – Civil Construction (Central Coast, NSW)

We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected civil infrastructure contractor to appoint an experienced Contract Administrator to join their growing team on the Central Coast of NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a business delivering major civil and infrastructure projects across NSW, with strong pipelines of work and a collaborative, delivery-focused culture.

About the Role

As Contract Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial and contractual management of civil construction projects from award through to final account. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you will ensure strong commercial governance, cost control, and contract compliance across all project phases.

You will be joining a high-performing project delivery team where you’ll be exposed to a variety of infrastructure works including roadworks, earthworks, subdivisions, utilities, and general civil packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer head contracts and subcontractor agreements across multiple civil projects
  • Manage progress claims, variations, and subcontractor payments
  • Support project teams with cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of subcontractor packages
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
  • Track project financial performance and assist in monthly reporting cycles
  • Work closely with Project Managers to identify and manage commercial risk
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and project records

About You

  • Previous experience as a Contract Administrator within civil construction or infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontractor management
  • Exposure to civil projects such as roads, earthworks, utilities, or subdivision works (highly regarded)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar (preferred but not essential)
