We are seeking conversations with candidates for an experienced Contracts Manager position to join our clients' Melbourne or Sydney studio, supporting the successful delivery of complex architectural projects across Australia.
This role sits at the intersection of design, delivery, and commercial performance , working closely with our Principals, project teams, and consultants to ensure contracts are effectively managed from inception through to completion.
🧩 Key responsibilities
- Manage the full contract lifecycle across multiple projects
- Review, draft, and negotiate client and consultant agreements
- Monitor project financials including budgets, forecasts, and variations
- Provide commercial advice to project teams and studio leadership
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and internal processes
- Support dispute resolution and manage claims where required
- Maintain accurate contract records and reporting
👤 About you
- 5+ years’ experience in contracts administration or commercial management
- Background in architecture, construction, or professional services
- Strong knowledge of Australian contract frameworks (e.g. AS contracts, consultancy agreements)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
