The Design Manager role is responsible for leading and overseeing the full design lifecycle across complex, city-shaping developments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing consultant procurement and tendering processes, including the development of scopes of services, preparation of contract documentation, and leading contract negotiations through to execution.
  • Driving the development and ongoing management of project design programs, briefs, and design requirements, ensuring alignment with cost plans, budgets, and overall project milestones.
  • Maintaining strong integration between design, construction, and development teams, identifying opportunities for value optimisation and proactively managing risk across all stages of design delivery.
  • Overseeing design coordination from concept through to construction and completion, ensuring quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and buildability. This includes managing design consultants, facilitating design meetings, and driving timely decision-making across key stakeholders.
  • Playing a key role in embedding innovation, digital engineering, and Safety in Design principles, while continuously improving systems, processes, and project outcomes.
  • Providing strong leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial oversight to successfully deliver complex, high-profile developments.
