An exciting opportunity for a Document Controller to join a leading data centre developer and operator, supporting the delivery of a major brownfield data centre expansion in Sydney.

Working as part of the project delivery team, you will take ownership of document control across a complex, live construction environment, ensuring project information is accurate, controlled, accessible and distributed to the right stakeholders at the right time.

This is a key project support role, working closely with the project, construction, engineering, design and contractor teams to help maintain the flow of information throughout delivery.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the management, control and distribution of project documentation across the expansion program. This includes maintaining document registers, managing revisions, coordinating technical documentation and ensuring project information is consistently captured and controlled.

The role will sit at the centre of project information flow, supporting the delivery team across construction, design, commissioning and operational interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day document control processes across the project
  • Receive, register, review, track and distribute project documentation
  • Maintain accurate document registers, revision control and document status
  • Coordinate the flow of drawings, RFIs, submittals, transmittals and project correspondence
  • Ensure the project team and contractors have access to the latest approved information
  • Maintain structured electronic filing and document management systems
  • Track outstanding documentation and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely close-out
  • Support project reporting, registers and general project administration
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants and contractors to maintain information flow
  • Assist with document control requirements across construction, commissioning and operational interfaces
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in project documentation and proactively resolve issues
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in document control, project administration or project coordination
  • Construction, infrastructure, engineering or data centre experience highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach
  • Experience managing large volumes of technical project documentation
  • Confident working with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, consultants and internal project teams
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure project environment
  • Proactive, practical and willing to take ownership
  • Strong working knowledge of document management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure

Additional

This is a hands-on role supporting the delivery of a significant data centre expansion within a live operational environment. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys being close to the project, takes ownership of information flow and is willing to get involved across the broader project team to help keep delivery on track.
