The opportunity
This position will be working closely with the Construction Director and will play a key role in actioning first principal pricing practices for major retirement village developments, working across both residential villa construction and large-scale community facilities buildings.
This position will require a strong understanding of commercial contracts, extensive experience in the pre-construction phase of the project lifecycle and will require a strong appreciation of the bigger picture that comes with staged-development environment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Managing subcontractor pricing and procurement processes
- Coordinating tender packages
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Working closely with project delivery and development teams
- Supporting cost planning and budgeting across multiple project stages
- Maintaining strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Proven commercial estimating experience within the construction industry
- Experience across large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
- Strong understanding of tendering, procurement, and contract letting processes
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and staged developments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
