This opportunity is suited to someone that is currently with a head contractor who is looking to transition across to developer (Project Engineer, Contract Administrator or Estimator/ Cost Planner ).
Key responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement and tender processes
- Support cost planning, estimating, and feasibility assessments
- Evaluate contractor submissions and assist with commercial negotiations
- Support budget management, benchmarking, and value engineering initiatives
- Provide commercial and project support to development and construction teams
About you:
- Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
- Preferably have experience delivering civil construction or subdivision projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially minded
- Curious, adaptable, and willing to learn new aspects of the development process
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project information and cost data
- Excited by the opportunity to transition into the developer space and build a career in preconstruction
