Redpath are currently representing a boutique, design-led property investment and development firm specialising in high-end residential and luxury hotel assets across premium metropolitan and lifestyle locations. With a strong pipeline of landmark projects and a reputation for delivering architecturally significant, design-driven developments, we are seeking an exceptional General Manager – Finance to lead the financial strategy and operations of the business.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager Finance will play a critical leadership role in shaping the financial direction of the organisation. You will oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, capital management, reporting, governance, and investor support across a portfolio of active and upcoming development projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially minded finance executive who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and understands the complexities of property development and investment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end finance function including accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and compliance
  • Partner with the executive team on project feasibility, acquisitions, and capital structuring
  • Oversee development feasibility modelling, scenario analysis, and investment returns
  • Manage project finance, including drawdowns, cost tracking, WIP reporting, and funding requirements
  • Drive monthly management reporting, board reporting, and investor reporting
  • Lead relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, legal advisors, and investors
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and capital management across multiple projects
  • Implement and improve financial systems, controls, and governance frameworks
  • Support equity and debt raising activities and maintain strong banking relationships
  • Lead and develop a small but high-performing finance team

About You
  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting background
  • Proven experience in property development, real estate investment, or construction finance
  • Strong understanding of development feasibility modelling and project accounting
  • Experience managing financing structures across multiple projects or entities
  • Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable operating in a boutique, entrepreneurial, and fast-moving environment
  • Prior experience in a senior finance leadership role (Financial Controller, Finance Director, or Head of Finance)
  • Exposure to luxury residential, hotel, or hospitality assets highly regarded
