The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Facilities Management for HOYTS cinema. From its small beginnings, HOYTS has become one of the world's leading entertainment companies. Across Australia and New Zealand, HOYTS owns and operates more than 60 cinemas, featuring over 497 screens and more than 59,000 seats. HOYTS cinemas can be found throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia, Western Australia, and New Zealand, delivering exceptional movie experiences to millions of guests each year.
Your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Responsible for leading the facilities management function across HOYTS' Australia and New Zealand cinema portfolio and Sydney Support Office.
  • Provide leadership to the FM team, ensures a proactive approach to asset maintenance, statutory compliance, risk management and contractor performance, and supports cinemas to deliver a safe, reliable and high-quality guest experience
  • Lead the end-to-end facilities management service across the HOYTS portfolio, including planned and reactive maintenance, essential services, asset lifecycle planning, contractor management, R&M and capex budget oversight, WHS, risk and statutory compliance.
  • Work closely with Operations, Property, Projects, Finance, Technology, landlords and external service providers to ensure sites remain safe, compliant, commercially efficient and operationally ready.
  • Responsible for building systems, processes and reporting that allow cinema teams to focus on the guest experience while the FM function delivers consistent, accountable and proactive support.
  • Lead and develop the Facilities Management team across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Promote a partnership-based approach with key suppliers while maintaining strong commercial controls.
  • Plan, maintain and track R&M expenditure across the portfolio.
  • Develop opex and capex budgets for facilities-related works.
  • Maintain effective FM systems, processes, dashboards and reporting disciplines

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Significant experience across facilities management across a large multi-site portfolio
  • Experienced in FM within retail, leisure or hospitality
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Significant knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance, essential services, statutory compliance, contractor management, WHS, risk management, budgeting, reporting
