HEAD OF LEASE ADMINISTRATION – RETAIL

We’re working with a national retail property business that is looking for a senior Lease Administration professional to take ownership of its lease administration function.
This is a key leadership role overseeing the accuracy, coordination and delivery of retail lease documentation across a national portfolio, while leading a small team and working closely with Property, Leasing and Legal.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring leases are accurately documented, executed and maintained, with key dates, obligations and compliance requirements managed throughout the lease lifecycle.
About the role
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting a small lease administration team
- Overseeing the preparation, review and execution of retail lease documentation
- Working closely with Legal and Leasing on lease terms, amendments and documentation
- Managing bank guarantees, critical dates and key lease obligations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant retail leasing legislation
- Maintaining accurate and consistent lease records, systems and processes
- Providing lease-related information and support to Property, Leasing and other internal stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and strengthen the overall lease administration function
About you
You will bring:
- Strong retail lease administration experience — essential
- Experience managing or overseeing a high-volume lease portfolio
- A solid understanding of the retail leasing lifecycle and relevant legislation
- Exposure to Property, Legal or in-house leasing environments
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to process and compliance
- Confidence working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
- Experience leading, mentoring or supporting a team
