Project: $150M High Rise Residential Development
Reporting to: Safety Manager
The Opportunity
An established national construction business is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to join a landmark $150M high rise residential project based in Zetland. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major build alongside an experienced site leadership team and contribute to a strong safety-first culture from early delivery through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining site safety systems and procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all stages of construction
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and project requirements
- Coordinate site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training initiatives
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and safe work practices on site
- Maintain safety documentation, registers, permits, and records
- Promote a positive safety culture and provide guidance to site personnel and subcontractors
- Assist with return-to-work and injury management processes where required
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator or Advisor position within construction
- Exposure to high rise residential or large-scale commercial projects preferred
- Strong understanding of NSW WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident working in a fast-paced site environment
