Join a privately owned property group managing a major mixed-use precinct in Melbourne. The site combines multiple uses across a large 10-plus hectare site, with a broad and complex stakeholder base to match.
A new position has become available for a Marketing Executive, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager.
The Role:
Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager, you'll be the delivery lead for PR, events, activations and partnerships that drive visitation and strengthen the precinct's reputation as an entertainment destination. You'll work closely with tenants, tourism partners, agencies and community stakeholders across a large and complex site, one that doesn't shut its doors and doesn't operate like a traditional shopping centre.
This includes:
- Own PR delivery end to end, working alongside external agencies on media opportunities, releases, interviews and reporting on earned coverage
- Plan, coordinate and deliver destination events, seasonal campaigns and activations, managing budgets, suppliers, permits and OH&S
- Build and manage relationships with tenants, precinct partners, hotels, local government and tourism operators, identifying and securing partnership opportunities
- Support the tourism and destination marketing piece alongside key entertainment and tourism partners on site
- Support broader campaign delivery, reporting and tenant engagement as needed
- Provide overflow support across digital marketing where required, working alongside in-house and agency capability
About You:
- Background in destination marketing, placemaking or shopping centre marketing, hospitality or related place/activation experience also considered
- PR, events or activations experience highly regarded
- Digital marketing exposure a bonus, not essential
- Comfortable managing a high volume of senior stakeholders without a large team behind you
- Fast learner, able to quickly get across a complex, fast-moving operating environment
- Solutions-focused with genuine autonomy, this isn't a role for someone who needs their hand held
- Resilient and commercially minded, doesn't get stuck when plans change
- Flexible to work holidays and weekends during peak periods
The Perks:
- Work for a diverse, unique precinct going through significant growth
- Flexibility - This is an onsite position with ad hoc flex
- Genuine variety, no two days look the same on this site
- Direct exposure to major entertainment, hospitality, sports and tourism partners
- Time in lieu applies for out-of-hours work during events and peak periods
- Free parking, paid birthday leave, team events, EAP and access to exciting experiences and events
