This is more than a procurement role, it's an opportunity to influence the success of a nationally significant project while building high-performing supply chain operations from the ground up.

About the Role
Reporting directly to senior project leadership, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure materials, equipment and services are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

You'll oversee supplier performance, inventory management, logistics, commercial negotiations and procurement governance across a complex, fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with project delivery.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier selection and commercial negotiations.
  • Build and manage high-performing supplier relationships and performance frameworks.
  • Oversee inventory, warehousing and logistics operations to support production.
  • Drive cost control, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with defence, quality, WHS and contractual requirements.
  • Provide procurement reporting, commercial insights and risk management to senior leadership.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
  • 7+ years' experience in procurement and supply chain leadership.
  • Experience within defence, shipbuilding, manufacturing, heavy industrial or major construction environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation experience.
  • Experience managing suppliers, logistics and inventory across complex operations.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and procurement platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain an AGSVA Security Clearance.
What's on Offer
  • Join one of Australia's largest and most exciting defence projects.
  • Play a pivotal leadership role with genuine influence across the business.
  • Work alongside an experienced executive leadership team.
  • Long-term career progression and future leadership opportunities.
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Osborne location with exposure to a world-class industrial facility.
If you're ready to make a lasting impact on Australia's defence industry and lead procurement on a career-defining project, we'd love to hear from you.
