Project Director – Client-Side Project Management Consultancy (Sydney)
We are working with a well-established, national project management consultancy with over 30 years of success across the Australian market. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across NSW, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to join their Sydney team.
This consultancy delivers projects across a diverse range of sectors including industrial, commercial, retail, residential and education, providing exposure to a varied and high-quality portfolio of work.
The Role
As a Project Director, you will take a lead role in the delivery of key projects while also contributing to the growth and leadership of the business. You will be responsible for managing major projects and programs, building strong client relationships, and supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of major projects from feasibility through to completion
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Oversee project teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes and performance
- Provide input into business development and securing new work
- Manage project risk, programme, cost and procurement strategies
- Mentor and support Project Managers and junior staff
About You
- Proven experience in a senior project management or project director role within a client-side consultancy or similar environment
- Strong track record delivering projects across one or more of the following sectors: industrial, commercial, retail, residential or education
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project delivery frameworks
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects concurrently
