The business is known for undertaking challenging and complex projects throughout New Zealand with multiple ongoing projects throughout the South Island.

Having secured a significant pipeline of work in the Central Lakes region, this role will be predominately site based and have limited requirements to travel outside of the region.
The role
Your role as Project Engineer will have you leading programme, budget, and key site deliverable on varied and challenging projects. You will need to take ownership of the job and lead from the front to ensure your high standards are shared across the project team.
Ideally, you'll have worked across projects from concept to completion and have a solid understanding of the full project lifecycle in a self-performing team environment.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Contracts Management, Client & Supplier communication
- Quality Management including writing project plans and assessing and recording works against milestones, ITPs and material supply requirements
- Preparing work plans and completing quality & HSE documentation
- Ordering material and organizing subcontractor, staff and machinery resource
- Interpreting plans and specification
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience across civil infrastructure projects, ideally involving piling or structures.
- Strong capabilities in programming and cost management
- Positive leadership style with the ability to take ownership and empower others to do the same
- Competency with MS Projects
