We are partnering with a highly regarded, design-led architecture studio to appoint a Principal to its leadership team.

This is a key senior role responsible for leading the design direction, delivery, and commercial performance of major projects, while contributing to the ongoing growth and reputation of the practice.

The Role

As a Principal, you will lead projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring exceptional design outcomes aligned with client briefs, program, and budget. You will provide design leadership across teams, champion innovation, sustainability, and best practice, and play a critical role in maintaining quality and consistency across all work.

You will take ownership of project performance – managing resourcing, financials, client relationships, and risk – while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest professional and technical standards.

Leadership & People

A core part of the role is building and developing high-performing teams. You will mentor senior staff, support career progression, and play an active role in recruitment, culture, and capability building across the studio.

Business Development

You will contribute to the growth of the business through client engagement, market insight, and securing new work. This includes maintaining strong industry relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting submissions and strategy.

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an architectural practice.
  • Strong design capability with a track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing project financials.
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for mentoring teams and contributing to studio culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to win work and support business growth.

How to Apply

This is an opportunity to join a respected design practice at a leadership level, with the ability to shape projects, influence studio direction, and play a key role in its continued success.
