Reporting to the CFO, this is a broad, hands-on role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations while supporting financial reporting and finance activities across the group.
This opportunity will suit a strong Senior Accountant or experienced Accounts Manager seeking a varied role with exposure across both transactional and financial accounting within a fast-paced property environment. Key responsibilities include;
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reporting packs
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare journals and investigate reporting variances
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support project, development and entity-level reporting
Accounts Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Manage invoicing, payment processing and collections
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements
- Maintain fixed asset registers and related accounting schedules
- Ensure timely and accurate processing across all finance operations
Compliance & Controls
- Preparation and lodgement support for BAS, GST and statutory reporting obligations
- Assist in managing external audit requirements and year-end processes
- Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and reporting requirements
Stakeholder & Business Support
- Work closely with development, project and operational teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and systems enhancements
- Provide timely financial information and support to senior management
About you:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
- 4+ years' accounting experience, ideally within property, development, construction or related industries
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting processes
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capability
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage competing priorities
