Redpath Partners is partnering with a national engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for its Adelaide office. This is a key role for an experienced civil design professional who enjoys owning technically challenging projects, guiding delivery from concept through to construction, and mentoring junior engineers within a collaborative national team.

You’ll work across a diverse mix of industrial, commercial, residential and infrastructure projects, delivering practical, innovative outcomes and building strong relationships with clients, developers and local authorities.

Required Skills

• Proven capability leading the design and delivery of civil engineering projects (industrial, commercial, residential and/or infrastructure)
• Strong civil design expertise across stormwater, roads, earthworks, pavements and site grading
• Stormwater modelling experience using DRAINS and MUSIC, including WSUD, OSD and stormwater management strategies
• Ability to prepare high-quality documentation for approvals, including Basis of Design Reports, Stormwater Management Reports, and supporting technical documentation
• Strong coordination skills across stakeholders such as clients, architects, surveyors, contractors and regulatory authorities
• Project delivery competence across budgets, programmes, resourcing and deliverables (from proposal to completion)
• Experience conducting technical reviews, QA, and ensuring design compliance with Australian Standards and local authority requirements
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Experience supporting fee proposals, client management, and contributing to business development
• Demonstrated commitment to team development and continuous improvement through mentoring and capability-building

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartered (CPEng) (highly regarded)
• 10+ years’ experience within a civil engineering consultancy
• Proven track record delivering industrial, commercial, land development and infrastructure projects
