Redpath Partners are working in collaboration with a national interior design and construction business that specialise within commercial fitout projects throughout New Zealand. With a strong reputation in the industry for delivering a range of retail, hospitality, office, commercial and aged care fitouts they continue to thrive with an established pipeline of work. The Senior Project Manager position will support the current leadership team where they will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of work for various longstanding respected clients.
Role
This Senior Project Manager position will see you taking ownership of various fitout projects from feasibility and design phases through to procurement and delivery. You will act as the primary client liaison, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to scope while managing stakeholder expectations and contributing to the business’s wider strategic growth.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Overseeing all project activities, throughout complete project life cycle
- Identifying project scope, goals and deliverables
- Procurement & Contract Management
- Programme and Cost Management
- Excellent communication with all stakeholders, relationship management with the client
- Design Management involved across the consent process
- Manage external contractors and consultants optimising best practice and construction delivery
- Technical construction delivery problem solving
Suitable candidates will have the following experience:
- Experience working for a Fitout Contractor or Project Management Consultancy specialising in Commercial Fitouts with a minimum of 8 year’s experience
- High level of communication skills, proven collaborative ability with demonstrated skills in leading negotiations with multiple stakeholders
- Proven experience leading the full lifecycle of fitout construction projects
- Strong knowledge of NZ Building Standards and the tendering process
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or similar
- Salary $140,000 -$160,000
