The role
You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, coordinating subcontractors, labour, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality.
The role requires a hands-on Senior Site Manager who is comfortable leading teams on site, managing programmes , and working closely with a Project Manager & Construction Manager to resolve issues as they arise.
Key responsibilities
- Overall management of site operations and daily activities
- Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and site team including other site managers
- Managing construction programmes, including short-term schedules
- Upholding site safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Chairing subcontractor and coordination meetings
- Managing site records, diaries, progress reporting, and documentation
- Working closely with the Project Manager to drive programme and cost outcomes
- Maintaining professional relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Trade or construction qualification
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager
- Experience working for either a commercial main contractor or fit-out/refurbishment specialist
- Proficient in Excel, Procure, computer literate, with exposure to programming software
- Strong understanding of site safety systems and quality processes
- Confident reading and interpreting drawings and construction documentation
- Calm, organised, and professional leadership style on site
- Able to manage multiple subcontractors and competing priorities
