We are recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering consultancy seeking a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of commercial and industrial projects across South Australia.
This position offers the opportunity to lead project delivery, manage client relationships, provide technical leadership, and mentor developing engineers while working on a diverse portfolio of building projects.
The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and delivery of commercial and industrial building projects
- Manage projects from concept design through to construction support and completion
- Undertake structural analysis, design calculations and technical reviews
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, developers and multidisciplinary consultants
- Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications and design documentation
- Conduct site inspections and provide construction-phase support
- Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard
About You
- Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent
- 8+ years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment
- Strong experience delivering commercial and industrial building projects
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as SpaceGass, ETABS or similar
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and local design requirements
- Strong communication, client management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work autonomously
