Redpath Partners are partnering with a leading infrastructure and services contractor to recruit an experienced Traffic Management Designer (TMD) to join their growing Traffic Management division.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, utilities, civil and maintenance projects across South East Queensland. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in designing and coordinating traffic management solutions that are safe, compliant and practical.
The RoleAs a Traffic Management Designer, you will be responsible for developing and managing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs) across a variety of projects. You will work closely with operational teams, clients, local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure traffic management requirements are delivered efficiently and in accordance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs)
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification activities
- Liaise with councils, government authorities, clients and internal project teams
- Support permit applications, approvals and ongoing compliance requirements
- Review and update traffic management documentation as projects progress
- Maintain accurate records, document control and reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the traffic management function
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current Traffic Management Designer (TMD) accreditation
- Australian Driver's Licence and White Card
- Previous experience preparing traffic management designs within civil, infrastructure or utilities environments
- Proficiency with RapidPlan or similar traffic management design software
- Strong knowledge of relevant traffic management standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
