The Opportunity


An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced tax professional to join a leading global real estate investment manager as a Vice President - Tax Structuring.
In this role, you will act as the APAC tax lead across fund structuring, transactions, and strategic initiatives, supporting a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and China. This is a high-visibility role working closely with investment, finance, legal, and external advisors on complex, cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all tax aspects of direct and indirect real estate transactions across APAC funds
  • Partner with external advisors to design optimal investment and fund structures
  • Support the establishment and restructuring of APAC real estate funds
  • Manage investor tax queries, including Australian (stamp duty, WHT, MIT) and international considerations
  • Monitor compliance with relevant tax regimes and thresholds across jurisdictions
  • Proactively assess and advise on tax legislative changes impacting investments
  • Oversee tax governance frameworks and ensure operational processes support fund structures
  • Manage tax audits and controversy matters with relevant authorities
  • Provide ongoing tax support to investment and finance teams
  • Collaborate with legal, external counsel, tax advisors and company secretarial teams
  • Support product and investor-related queries from the sales team

About You
You are a commercially minded tax professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Law, Finance or related discipline
  • CA / CPA / CTA or legal qualifications highly regarded
  • Significant experience in tax advisory, tax law, or real estate funds
  • Strong knowledge of international tax and investment structures, ideally across APAC jurisdictions
  • Experience with real estate transactions and fund structuring
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across global teams
