That was the focus of the recent RICS New Zealand Awards, where professionals from across sector came together to recognise excellence across the industry.

As proud Talent Partner of the RICS New Zealand Awards, Simon Bryce and Shaun Roberts were pleased to be part of an evening celebrating the people and organisations contributing to the continued development of New Zealand’s built environment.

The awards provided an opportunity to recognise the achievements taking place across the sector, but also highlighted some of the qualities that consistently underpin successful projects.

As projects become increasingly complex, professionals are required to navigate challenging programmes, commercial pressures, stakeholder expectations, sustainability requirements and evolving client needs.

Technical capability remains essential, but successful delivery increasingly depends on the ability to lead teams, manage relationships, solve problems and make effective decisions under pressure. These qualities are often what differentiate good project teams from great ones.
